Banner's L-Gage LT3 series laser distance gauging sensors use time-of flight technology to provide accurate long-distance gauging for precision inspection applications. Diffuse mode models come in ranges of 0.3 to 5 meters. Retroreflective models come in ranges up to 50 meters. Both are available with discrete and analog outputs or dual discrete outputs.
L-Gage LT3 laser distancing sensors work with difficult angled and non-perpendicular targets that ultrasonics can't detect accurately. Designed to resist interference, the LT3 modulated laser beam and narrow optical band pass filter make it highly immune to interference from ambient light, including high-energy factory lighting.
LT3 sensors feature advanced diagnostics, with bright LEDs that show programming and operation status, and can use discrete output to detect a missing target.
Common applications include error-proofing laser cutting operations, storage and retreival system positioning, box width measurement and parcel profiling, log profiling, hopper level monitoring, slurry level control, and paper web break detection.
