SICK high resolution absolute encoders take high-precision measurement of absolute position and speed. Available in single- or multi-turn design, 6mm solid shaft with servo flange, 10mm solid shaft with face-mount flange, 8, 10, 120, 14, or 15mm blind hollow shafts. Synchronous Serial (SSI), EtherCAT, Ethernet I/P, or PROFINET communications.
Used for measuring absolute position and speed in industrial automation machines and systems as well as process and production, like storage systems, packaging machines, hydraulic presses, printing machines, and rotating tables.
Absolute encoders generate information about position, angle, and rotation counts in type-specific angle steps. A single-turn encoder measures the absolute position within a revolution. Multiturn encoders provides the position within a revolution as well as the number of revolutions.
