Siemens SITRANS FM magnetic flowmeters in less-than-optimal mounting conditions

Siemens SITRANS MAG magnetic flowmeters for non-standard pipe configurations

No More Piping Requirements for Mag Meters!

For years you've understood the best practice for optimal performance from a flowmeter meant installing the sensor with a minimum of five diameters upstream and two diameters downstream on straight run pipe. But that's no longer true!

Siemens recently tested SITRANS FM magnetic flowmeters in configurations that don't meet the suggested installation conditions. The SITRANS FM MAG 5100W and MAG 8000 still performed consistently enough that DANAK, an independent accreditation body in Denmark, approved the meters for accuracy of ±2.0%, even with zero diameters upstream and downstream of straight run pipe.

So now, you don't have to pay the high cost of modifying your process piping. You can mount these meters in less-than-optimal conditions and still get great performance.

Free Webinar: Valves for Dry Solids

Improper handling of dry solids and powders can lead to wasted time and materials, damaged equipment, high costs, and poor product quality. Even the finest of powders can wear out equipment, but why? What can you do to stop it?

Please join us on Tuesday, June 16, at 9am Central as Ebro's powder and bulk solids specialist, Chuck Herrington introduces our customers to valve solutions for abrasion, metering and caking of powder and bulk solids.

In this 45-minute webinar, you'll learn:

  • Solving caking issues in silo discharge
  • Achieving precise volume control in solids applications
  • Preventing air blockage in pneumatic conveying
  • Handling abrasive or sensitive media
  • Your questions answered: Live Q&A

Tuesday, June 16, 9:00am Central (10:00am Eastern)

Please join us for the webinar. Or, if you're already booked then, register anyway and we'll let you know when the recording is posted to our website.
