About the speakers:

Laurie Wells, Au.D., is a Doctor of Audiology and Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist for 3M Personal Safety Division, where she works with hearing protection and conservation program regulatory issues.

Prior to joining 3M, she worked as a professional audiology consultant, helping jobsite workers and consulting with health and safety professionals to shape effective hearing loss prevention practices. She has been a long-time co-presenter for 3M’s Hearing Loss Prevention Seminar series, is the Past-Chair of the Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC), representing the American Academy of Audiology and a Past-President of the National Hearing Conservation Association.

Tim Kearney is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist (COHC), and currently serves as government, healthcare, and hearing specialist for 3M’s Great Lakes and Ohio Valley region. He has more than 35 years’ experience helping employers in the selection, use, and maintenance of air and noise sampling instruments, portable gas monitors, respiratory protection devices, chemical protective clothing and fall protection systems.

He is a member of AIHA and an associate member of the Respiratory Protection technical committee. He has held board positions with the Michigan and West Michigan Industrial Hygiene Societies (MIHS and WMIHS), and currently serves on the board of directors for the Michigan State Safety Conference and its IH division committee. Tim also serves as a guest instructor for the University of Michigan/MIHS Comprehensive Industrial Hygiene Review course.
