SITRANS WF100 is a low- to medium-capacity flowmeter for continuous flow monitoring of various product sizes, densities, and fluidities including fine powders. It is unaffected by corrosive, abrasive, or hot materials, and is small enough to fit in restricted spaces. It can be installed easily into standard pipe sizes, and offers simple operation with a fast and accurate flow response.
Dry bulk solids enter the flow guide producing a mechanical deflection as they strike the flowmeter sensing plate before continuing through the process. A strain gauge load cell in the WF100 converts the horizontal force of the deflection into an electrical signal that feeds into an accompanying integrator (Milltronics SF500) to display the flow rate and totalize the weight.
Typical applications include monitoring of food ingredients, pet food blending, plastic pellet production, silica sand in glass making.
