Shuttle Valves

Shuttle valves allow fluid to flow from one of two sources to a single outlet, helping manage flow in pneumatic and hydraulic systems. They use a movable part to block one inlet while allowing flow from the other, ensuring that only the higher-pressure source is utilized at any time.

When choosing a shuttle valve for use with solenoid valves, it is important to consider the pressure ratings of both fluid sources to ensure compatibility. The type of fluid being controlled, whether liquid or gas, should also be taken into account, as different valves are designed for specific fluids. Evaluating application requirements, such as the need for bidirectional flow or minimal leakage, will help determine the best shuttle valve configuration for efficient operation.
