ASCO Valve IS Series 3-Way and 4-Way Intrinsically Safe Solenoid Valves
Intrinsically safe solenoid valves for pipe sizes from 1/4" to 1" NPT, with pressure ranges up to 150 PSI. Available in universal (for piping normally open or normally closed, field selected) or normally closed.
Key Specifications
- Designed solely for intrinsically safe areas, with properly approved and sized
current- and voltage-limiting safety barriers - Acceptable for use in hazardous locations, as classified by the National Electrical Code: Classes I, II, and III, Division 1, Groups A-G
- Electronically enhanced solenoids have efficient cartridge operators and non-polarized coils with triple redundant blocking codes
- Capacitor stores power required to open the valve, while blocking diodes prevent it from flowing back into the wiring in hazardous area
