Meriam 50MC2 Series Laminar Flow Element with Hose-Type Connections

Meriam's 50MC2 laminar flow element is specifically designed for gas flow applications that require hose-type process connections, mated to rigid piping with lengths of flexible hose or rubber couplings. The LFE is sealed into the piping system using conventional strap clamps.

Laminar flow elements can be used to calibrate turbine meters, variable area meters, flow regulators, mass flow meters, and thermal anemometers. They are most commonly used for gas flow measurement, but are also suited to leak detection and quantification, design and testing of discrete parts, automotive engine and emissions testing, and window and door leak testing.

Filtered inlet versions are available to help keep the LFE matrix clean and keep the calibration consistent, or to be used for intake measurement applications.

Key Specifications

  • 2" to 8" line sizes; compatible with most gases
  • 1/4" hose barb differential pressure connections
  • Max design: 20 PSIG and 150°F
  • Add suffix "F" to include inlet filter
