Maintenance Services
Illiana specializes in on-site calibration of process control
instrumentation. Calibration and service performed at regular
intervals keeps your instruments running and operating at their
best. Illiana's trained technicians use well-documented work
instructions, with standards traceable to NIST, to perform
routine calibrations and sensor replacements. They also use a
computerized record-keeping system to keep histories on
equipment, and help accurately maintain records and schedules
for ISO, OSHA, EPA, and QS requirements.

Some instruments cost thousands of dollars to purchase. And when
they fail, replacement isn't always in the budget. When repair
is your best option, call us. Illiana offers complete in-shop
repair capabilities on many brands and types of process control
instruments, including:

- Routine Thermocouple Replacement
Thermocouples don't last forever. In most industrial
applications, thermocouples fail at a somewhat predictable
interval. Illiana technicians can help customers implement a
replacement and calibration program to meet ISO compliance
standards, reduce downtime, increase process quality, and
decrease the risk of accidents. Schedules are dependent on
temperature and thermocouple types.
- Below 400°F: Type J or K: Replace every 5 years or more
- 900° to 1200°F: Type K: Replace every 1 or 2 years
- 1200° to 1800°F: Type K: Replace every 6 to 12 months
- 1800° to 2200°F: Type K: Replace every 3 months
- Above 1800°F: Type R, S, or B: Replace as needed
- Certified Thermocouples
Illiana can certify thermocouples prior to installation for ISO
and QC purposes.
- Custom Systems Commissioning
With their ability to design, build, and commission custom
systems for customers, Illiana helps round out the services we
can provide. We'll coordinate your project with Illiana and work
side by side with technicians there, to provide you with a
complete solution. Illiana technicians can also be available for
training operators on the use and maintenance of custom systems
- Certified Furnace Uniformity Surveys
Illiana has extensive experience in performing surveys on
batch-type and continuous furnaces per AMS 2750. They use
state-of-the-art multipoint recorders that provide both written
records and computerized numeric data of all survey results. At
the conclusion of the survey, customers are provided with a
professional report of the survey findings, plus paper and
electronic copies of the furnace data to facilitate any further
analysis.
