Perils of a DIY Distributed Control
Are you using PLCs to do the job of a DCS? Tired
of "patching in" software to get your PLC to perform complicated control
functions? Are licensing issue of hurting your plant productivity?
Control system engineers, maintenance managers, and plant managers are taking
a fresh look at the trade-offs between a DCS and a PLC-based control system
architecture for their control system upgrades.
Honeywell's whitepaper, The Perils of a DIY
